More sketches & progress on the fatty display Didone. I usually do lot of hand sketches this time - detailed or now so much - just to keep my eyes and hand trained and let the mistakes possibly happen - they are doors to creativity (I think I read this somewhere before).

Some progress on the antiqua

A few alt caps & ampersand plus revised cap forms both in text & title masters.

Első print teszt az antikvához...

...Remek eredménnyel - a 32pt master jól néz ki, a 12 pt master nagyon jól üzemel folyószövegként.

Apróbb módosítsok szükségesek most, valamint a kurresns & kurzív formák tervezése.

Ötletelek - rengetget - kézi vázlatokban, anyagot gyűjtök, föleg Nicolas Jenson & Francesco Griffo érdekel - persze sajnos csak jobb-rosszabb nyomtatott másolatok állnak rendelkezésemre.

Igyekszem áttekinteni az ‘optical master’ kérdését is - jól halad a dolog.

Forgatom Bringhurst bibliáját is, most is, mint minden alkalommal, mást mond. Mint egy jó tanár. A maga hibáival együtt, persze :)

quite slowly due the investigation I have to do.

FR Dagi &Italic

Soon - quite soon - Fr Dagi and its Italic will be released.

This weekend I had been busy working on it, polising and re-dreawing shapes, adding Ot features - case fractions, some encircled figures (two set), usual superscripts - and of course the small caps. In italic I placed many miscro-details and much more dancing curves. Enjoy, it was to craft.

Spacing was done, basic kerning also done - now testing and the additional candies what are planned to do.

After that I shall made some promotional material, a pretty small specimen and send it over all the distributors.
